It provides easy-to-remember approaches social workers can use to prevent traumatic or stressful events experienced by children. I agree with every piece of information you shared, ranging from the meaning and description of ACE to implications for mental and physical health, trauma-informed care, the ACE screening tool, additional strategy for social workers, and resources for social workers. Indeed, you discussed the ACE symptoms but did not select a particular ACE to describe its nature and prevalence. Instead, you discussed ACEs in general. Symptoms included in the poster are depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) (Choi, Wang, & Jackson, 2019), substance abuse, obesity, chronic illnesses (Kappel et al., 2021), and difficulties in social interactions, learning, and memory.
