In the current competitive business environment, every business strives to reduce costs and increase efficiency where possible. According to Mathew et al., (2013) supply chain accounts for between 25-32% of all operational costs for healthcare facilities, and efficiently managing it ensures that there is a consistent and cost-efficient flow of products. The healthcare supply chain is characterized by wider product types and the participation of different types of stakeholders including producers, purchasers, and providers. To add to this list there are regulatory bodies, insurance companies, and governments. The supply chain management (SCM) in my organization has strengths and opportunities; threats and weaknesses which are well managed to prevent larger problems.

There are strengths and opportunities in my organization. First, there is an efficient logistic network that not only facilitates the timely delivery of healthcare products but also contributes to reduced logistic costs and increased customer satisfaction. Through this efficient logistic network, the organization has the appropriate resources to deliver optimal health care to different patients (Marques et al., 2020). With the efficient management of inventory and timely delivery, the facility has been able to reduce medical supply delays and enhance the overall customer experience.
