After watching the video Guiding Principles of the International Review Board, there were a number of things that I was able to clearly understand and reflect. My understanding of statistics has evolved throughout the course in a myriad of ways. I have been able to clearly distinguish between independent and dependent variables, when it comes to the differentiation of the major scales in statistics (APUS, n.d.). Through this knowledge, collection and analysis of data has been made even easier, due to the possibility of quickly identifying the variables involved. Additionally, knowledge of statistics has enabled me to have critical thinking skills. Especially when it comes to the ascertaining of the respective statistical variables. Through the knowledge of the underlying factors that determine variability and timeliness, it is even easier for the entire process to be easily computed.
