Student-Centered Instructional Methods
Student-centered instructional methods focus primarily on the learner as the subject in the educational process and require him or her to play an active role in the learning process. Common examples of instructional methods recommended include personalized learning, project-based learning, and inquiry-based learning. These teaching and learning strategies promote student accountability, creativity, and cooperative learning (Çolak, 2017). Although the application of student-centered approaches is considered effective in diverse classroom settings, they may prove to be cumbersome to the teachers in terms of time and adaptability. Applying these methods can be a little difficult, especially in learning centers.
Diverse Learner Strategies
Diverse learning strategies include differentiating instruction, using culturally affirmative approaches, and adopting technology in diverse classroom settings. Differentiated instruction focuses on the idea of modifying teaching strategies and also resources to satisfy the diverse needs of the learners.
