Friedman (2013) believes that MOOC is a new revolution that aims to promote quality of higher education. He views that MOOCs provides affordable education for students to get job opportunities. Higher learning institutions such as Udacity, Coursera, Massachusetts and Stanford offer MOOCs. During 2012, estimates of 300,000 students were doing 38 MOOC courses offered by Stanford lecturers including a few other famous universities across the world. Currently, there are about 2.8 million students taking 214 MOOC courses from 33 universities. Online courses can only be effectively offered by competent professors. Friedman (2013) believes that MOOC courses are more interesting than traditional courses taught in classroom. Universities now take advantage of internet and technology to develop laboratory work and classroom learning. Many universities provide online courses in which students earn credentials, which prove that they have completed courses successfully and passed exams. This can only be possible through taking best online courses taught by effective and skillful professors from reputed universities across the world (Friedman, 2013). MOOC has transformed learning, teaching and technique to get employment. This is a new revolution in which everybody has to adopt.
According to Head (2013), MOOC is an inevitable phenomenon that must be embraced in order to find out it is entails and what is unachievable. It is a demanding task.
