My cultural background has played a great role in shaping my ethical values (DeTienne et al., 2019). Being raised in a community that comprised Latinos, black Americans, and the native Americans taught me the significance of diversity. Growing up the understanding of I came to relate cultural diversity with other types of diversity like religion, gender, and disability and how to appreciate them. My culture was from the minority group in the society where I grew up. That made me aggressive in my pursuit of excellence, committed, being a person of integrity, and always kind to other people no matter the place or background they come from.
