Answers will be based off first grade teacher. 1. Many learners are nervous when signing up for the research course. However, it is important to remember that you likely have worked with data before. With the help of the materials for this week, define action research. Think of situations in your professional setting in which you have identified a problem, gathered information to solve it, and then implemented change. Share your experiences. 2. In your professional setting or your academic degree journey, what research projects have you completed? Briefly state your professional setting. After sharing a project, discuss whether it was an action research project or a traditional research project. Support your decision with sources. If you have not yet worked on a research project, think of a problem, weakness, or issue that you encounter at work that may be worth solving or researching. For example, imagine that you have a monthly staff meeting that has low attendance albeit its importance for work efficiency. Another example would be that you have a great group of students but low engagement during discussions. Discuss whether you believe an action research or traditional research project would work best in searching for a solution.
