Dear Professor,
My name is Paul Williams and I am a student at Birmingham College. I am also one of your student’s in the English class. I find myself naturally attracted to English and literature, which has in turn seen my enthusiasm for writing steadily improve since graduating from high school.
To say that I have a lot of experience in writing is an understatement. I have written in many fields of education including academic papers for fellow students. In addition, I have also done a great deal of job applications and written essays for personal gratification purposes. At the professional level, I have just completed a study of the latest trends among teenagers for class, a local magazine in my neighborhood. I have also written plays and dramas for my drama club back in high school.
I must say that to get where I am at the moment as a writer, has been very challenging as it has been informing. I have learned to harness my ideas and state them properly by prioritizing each and every one of them. I am also very strict when it comes to time management and I have a well defined daily schedule that guides and dictates my work structure. I am also well acquainted with citation styles and as stated by Englishclub.com (2011), I perfectly understand that plagiarism is prohibited by law.
The fact that I lack diverse knowledge to handle large volumes of writing for example dissertations and theses, limits me only to short articles which may sometimes lack in details. This is one of my major weaknesses. My level of teacher critiquing is also very dismal as I am not very good at analyzing other people’s work. This is one of the major areas I am working on improving.
My goals for the course are probably intertwined with those for my college education as a whole. However...
