1 Givers are individuals who are always willing to help others, and their interactions are mainly meant to benefit the other person. On the other hand, takers are individuals who are self-serving in their interactions. They all focus on what other people can do for them. Generally, they are individuals who focus care more about their interests. Matchers are individuals who strive to balance between giving and taking. The matchers tend to help others, but they expect a favor in return. I cannot tolerate givers in my organization because they might fail to perform through their selfless acts. The same goes for takers because by putting their interests first, they might forget the imperative values of the organization. However, the matchers can be tolerated because all their actions are on a balanced scale.
2 The matchers are the most likely to display organizational citizenship behaviors. This is because they try to keep an even balance of giving and taking. For example, according to the talk, their actions revolve around the concept of "I'll do something for you if you do something for me."
