Fractals are some of the most intriguing things that exist in our world. As compared to regular objects, each of these geometric figures have parts that are statistically similar to the whole, thereby creating a seemingly infinite pattern that repeats with its iteration. In this activity, I created a fractal pattern using the Quadratic Julia Set (Figure 1). The Quadratic Julia Set is a fractal design whereby the software maps the quadratic equation ‘zn+1 = zn2 + c’ for a fixed value of ‘c.’ To achieve this, used an online fractal generator to create a Julia pattern based from the complex number ‘z → f(z) + c.’
