Convincing Letter to Fund a Master's Degree
Correct and add to this letter meant to convince my superior to fund my masters degree (That theyre not convinced about)
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Raisa Al Fahim and I have been working at the International and Institutional affairs department as an External and Institutional affairs officer for almost 3 years. With my years of experience in the field of International affairs and a bachelor degree in History, civilizations and International relations, I would like to gain more knowledge not only in my field but also in order to have a broader understanding of the legal aspects . Thus, I wish to continue my studies by applying to a Master degree in International Law and Institutional Affairs at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
It gave me the chance to learn from professionals and helped me deepen my knowledge. As part of my work I do require some knowledge in International relations and diplomacy, when meeting with international institutions or even diplomats. Thus, if you agree for me to study the master I have picked I will make sure I attend the course on Economical and Political Issues; Scientific and Cultural Program of the Museum Acquisition; Policy and Strategy International Law Applied to Museums and Artworks in the masters in Museum studies. In addition, to finding a middle-ground between what is expected of me as an institution and my vision in career growth. I will work on a thesis that will combine the legal and international relations aspect of the museum field or world. That would include a variety of topics such as Deaccessioning, restitution etc.
I have been working at the Louvre Abu Dhabi as International relations Officer for almost 3years, and I would like to gain more knowledge not only in my field but also in order to have a broader understanding of the world we are living in today. Thus, the program your prestigious university offers seemed to be the right fit for my postgraduate education and long-term career goals. Through these professional experiences, I have learned the importance of time management and decision-making.
I am convinced I will be a valuable asset to the Museum and I strongly hope to be given a chance, as I am confident that I am capable to achieve the expertise required to pursue my career goals.
