The element of celebrity endorsements has become a pervasive factor both in the political scenario and the advertisement industry in the United States of America. Celebrity endorsements have become a multi-million dollar industry that has wood consumers and voters into making decisions ion regard to a product and a leader. Marketers and political figures make use of the celebrity endorsers to influence the purchasing and voting decision with the aim of increasing the sales and voter decisions within a market (Mishra, & Mishra, 2014). It is essential to note that consumers find celebrity endorsements attractive and influential and make their purchasing decisions based on the endorsements. This aspect has also been noted in the political arena where celebrities have been used to impact the voter decisions of states.
Considering this, it is essential to note that the history of Warren Harding depicts the manner in which film stars have the capacity to influence masses into the political campaigns. Presidential campaigns have also used celebrities to spur their campaigns with examples of this depicted in the campaigns of John F Kennedy who received the support of Rat Pack, Sammy Davis Junior and Dean Martin (Garthwaite, & Moore, 2008). The Kardashians state as the hottest family that stands out in Hollywood with their reality show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" that has close to 4.7 million viewers. A study was conducted that found out that children would eat more potato chips after watching commercial advertisements on TV that featured in the figures of sports personalities in England. This factors point out to the influence that the celebrity endorsements have on convincing a population.

It is considerably essential to note that some groups in line with politics enter into a political contest for political influence while others compete on the basis of political authority.
During the political campaigns, politicians use several approaches in influencing masses into their political campaigns. One of these approaches involves the endorsement of celebrities in which these public figures are included in the political campaigns. According to sources, politicians the like of the current president of the United States of America encountered a political contest between different organizations in order to clinch the political seat of the States (Mishra, & Mishra, 2014). This approach incorporated a series of political campaigns that involved different celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey who played a role in influencing her followers into believing in the Presidents manifesto. The relevance of political contests in this study is in the fact that it gives a depiction of the manner in which leaders view for state positions and the approaches they employ in winning the political seats.
Political Endorsements
A political endorsement infers to the approach of declaring a person or group publicly in support of a candidate who is seeking an election term in a political arena. It is in this case essential to determine the fact that political candidates have the opportunity to increase recognitions of names, a factor that may establish the credibility and winning endorsement (Mishra, & Mishra, 2014). Politicians therefore make use of these endorsements with the aim of seeking the support of the public who follow certain iconic figures.
Celebrity Endorsements
This refers to an approach that engages the use of famous personalities or even celebrities who have a higher degree of recognition and respect in the society to create awareness about a course. Candidates who eye the political seats in the government seek celebrity endorsements with the primary aim of mobilizing the citizens through an approach that enables individuals to connect with their celebrities giving the impression that the political figure will perform and advocate for issues as the celebrity is perceived.
