The role and the function of business goes beyond the monetary drive. Business is about creating value in the context of and for the benefit of many parties. It is an important point to reflect on when farming the purpose of business to include more than just creating profits for companies to enrich the shareholders.
In the past, the role of business organizations has been viewed mainly from the utilitarian perspective, which focused only on its ability to generate the highest possible revenues to its shareholders.
