SWOT Analysis Proctor and GambleSWOT analysis is critical in the analysis of a business and help in pushing the product into new markets. One ends up with a solid understanding of a business both external and internal forces. Proctor and Gamble faces a lot of challenges and being an international company. Having a SWOT analysis of the company is therefore critical in ensuring product distribution and marketing is properly done. The strength will look at majorly what the company has to its advantage while weaknesses would be the opposite; the disadvantages facing the company in the market. The Opportunities entails the loopholes in the market that can be exploited by the company to its advantage while the threats are the market conditions that may negatively impact on the company.
Strengths
Proctor and Gamble has already known brands in the market that have been tested and proven to be effective. These strong names help push the company to new markets ensuring profit. An advantage of having strong brands is that one can always be sure of market. This is because there will always be return clients and those that will start using the strong brands for the first time. The top brands are around 50 in number bringing in about 24 billion worth. This is a huge strength. Proctor and Gamble also boasts a global exposure and distribution network. Starting distribution is always a very demanding work and requires a lot of money and connections that Proctor and Gamble presently has to its advantage (Della, 2000).
