Southwest Airlines is a leading low-cost carrier renowned for good customer service. The company’s mission is dedicated to offering the highest quality of customer service through employee’s friendliness and warmth (Southwest, 2011). Hence, the company highly values employees and customers as important stakeholders of the company. Southwest Airlines offers training to employees to improve their skills and allow them to advance in their careers (Southwest, 2011). Training is aligned with the requirements of various federal authorities, while the University for People (U4P), focuses on leadership, professional development and improving learning opportunities.
Thus, the questions of training should be addressed to the head of the training department delving into the role of training in the company.
