What are the factors that influence our perception?
Several factors influence perception in business and marketing dimensions. Our actions, opinions, and ideas are typically responses to something else. Individual differences and personal, environmental, intrinsic, and extrinsic factors affect an individual's perception of a product or service. Regarding individual differences, every individual has unique attributes that affect their perception of the product or organization. In the business world, it is increasingly vital to respect differences in order to create harmony in marketing and other business endeavors. Personal factors relate to cognitive processes utilized to understand and interpret information concerning a product the individual perceives from their senses. Environmental factors also influence the perception of things as well as occurrences. The social, organizational, and physical context of a scenario or event can all impact how an individual perceives it, as can the pieces that constitute the context. In addition, intrinsic attributes of a product, such as meat, including its chemical contaminants, nutritional value, and safety characteristics, can influence the consumer's perception. These factors help maintain the consumer's appetite and thus influence their perception (Araújo et al., 2022). The extrinsic attributes, label information, cut type, nutritional value, and shelf life of the product are also vital outputs that affect how an individual perceives a product, such as meat.
