 In the Johnson & Johnson podcast " COVID-19 the Nurse Response: Staying Telehealthy," Sigi Marmorstein, a telehealth consultant who is a Founder & CEO of BabyLiveAdvice, talks about the use of telehealth in COVID-19. Health teams are increasingly at risk of COVID-19 infections, and innovative solutions include telehealth and online support—nurse-led solutions and proposals using telehealth to address some healthcare questions. In addition, the nurse-led input helps to improve health outcomes and build leadership skills.
Overcoming resistance to organizational change
To prevent resistance to organizational change, there is a need to promote open communication and provide feedback. Stakeholders are more likely to support changes when there is evidence of the benefits of the proposed changes. It is beneficial to identify the cause and need for change to overcome the factors affecting organizational change. Getting the employees involved in project management combined with management support facilitates management changes when the employees feel supported and appreciated for their input. Leaders also need to adapt strategies to changing circumstances to address health care needs and address emerging issues.
Culture of innovation
To create a culture of innovation, it is essential to embrace an innovative culture and strategy. Besides promoting an innovative culture, there is a need to remove barriers to innovation where there is a bottom-up approach to innovation. Encouraging innovation is also beneficial, especially when there is a distribution of knowledge among stakeholders.
