Introduction

Telehealth is an essential technological application that is incorporated into healthcare institutions. Telehealth refers to the digital use of information and the application of communication technologies, including computers and mobile devices. These applications help in accessing and managing healthcare services remotely (Matsumoto et al., 2021). Telehealth also involves a broad range of healthcare services delivered through telecommunication technologies. With the application of Telehealth, patients and healthcare professionals are allowed to interact, consult, and monitor their progress. It makes it easy to manage health-related information and provide patient care even from a distance.

Telehealth services are diverse, and examples include the use of telemedicine consultations. In telemedicine consultations, virtual visits between patients and healthcare providers are involved. The consultations involve medical advice, diagnoses, prescriptions, and discussions about the treatment plans, which are discussed to find the best alternative and application process. These can be provided remotely by using video conferencing or communication tools. Telehealth also involves the application of remote patient monitoring (Matsumoto et al., 2021). In remote patient monitoring, devices are used to monitor patients' vital signs remotely, managing the patient's health data or even symptoms. Once the data is collected, it is transmitted to professionals and healthcare providers to work on it and assess the patient's condition. Where necessary, interventions have to take place.
