Increased internet penetration has eased communication between organizations and their clients, and driving growth in e- commerce (Turban et al., 2008). Through internet platforms, organizations are better positioned to market their products and services. Sales to businesses have been easier through online sales, and this allows organizations to improve procurement by interacting through the internet and meeting the needs of clients. Big organizations rely on e- collaboration to communicate to business partners while also educating customers. To leverage the benefits of the internet there is a need for adequate planning on e- business strategies adopted.
Motivation of planning
The internet has become important for communication, where people establish and maintain ties where there is engagement of various stakeholders through online means. Social networking sites are particularly important for organizations as through consultation this facilitates planning (Turban et al., 2008). Furthermore, it is essential to plan as this enables the organization to prioritize on the most important aspects by leveraging on information to improve competitive prospects.
