Business process or business method is the set of activities that an organization undertakes to improve the value of inputs. The process exemplifies specific procedure that an organization follows while producing, packaging, marketing and distributing its brand. It is a trade secret of a specific company.
Kroenke (2013) identified another example of a business process, namely bakery. Before a loaf is placed on the supermarket counter, there are a series of activities that take place and these activities are specific to each company or industry. The initial stage of the production of bread starts with picking the wheat from the farm, processing and sorting in a factory. The processed wheat flour is presented for sale in stores (Kroenke, 2013). The bakery chef obtains flowers, flour among other flavors from stores and then proceeds to bake a loaf, which is sold to retailers and supermarket at a profit.
