Online recruitment is a technological method using the power of the internet to match people to various jobs. According to Moore & Lange 2001, it is about marketing opportunities on either job sites or commercial websites as explained. Online recruiting makes use of online sources used for the candidates` recruitment and selection. These sources include; Internet job boards, applicant tracking systems, resume databases, online testing and assessments. This ensures getting a high level of effective response because it may generate hundreds more applications than traditional print advertising. According to Moore, Winograd and Lange (2001), online job sites have simplified the recruitment landscape for both employers and job seekers and majorly increased the efficiency with which hiring decisions are carried out. Some of the business operations have been changed largely by the Technological advances including recruiting. This paper, therefore, explains in details the use of Internet technology in recruiting people to various jobs in an organization (Moore, Winograd & Lange 2001).
Online recruitment gives a chance to many candidates as compared to manual recruitment where individuals have to present themselves physically to various offices where the recruitment activities are to be carried out. This enhances the capability of the manager to find the right person for the job. This simplifies the whole process of recruitment of the candidates as it makes it more efficient than the manual one (Moore, Winograd & Lange 2001).

Operating online opens up communiqué channels and allows the manager to go straight to the candidate either immediately or at a later date when an opportunity arises (Kraut 2006).
