Atherosclerosis has been one of the most common diseases that are experienced by millions of people. In fact, a survey conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States would show that about 610,000 Americans die every year of heart diseases and a significant percentage of this mortality rate could be attributed to Atherosclerosis CITATION CDC172 \l 1033 (CDC.Gov, 2017). What is more alarming, nonetheless, is that this number is expected to rise more due to drastic changes in lifestyles such as the continuous proliferation of fast foods and video games CITATION Kla14 \l 1033 (Klautzer, Becker, & Mattke, 2014). This prompted both State and non-government organizations to find a more efficient cure for the disease.
