Evita
Evita is a musical that was done by Lloyd and Lyrics by Tim Rice. It is basically on an Argentinean political leader, Eva Perón, who was the second wife of the argentine president by then Juan Perón. This story covers her life history all the way from early life till her death. It incorporates her rise to power and even the charity works (Elia & Quiroz, 1997).
The author of the movie presents a lot of magnificent scenes that are of countless massive popular manifestations show the “glory” of evita and the way she popular among the Argentinean people. This is supported by the people behavior towards her; we see people supporting her in strikes scenes, her speeches, and worker confrontations with the authorities; the police. Above all it is clearly true through the public support and effort during the viewing of her body and funeral ceremony. It is a move that touches our emotions and thoughts. Anyone who has a doubt about the claim above should try to watch the movie and see if she/he will not be touched (Elia & Quiroz, 1997).
The goodness in it is the conflicting views presented to the audience on the main character Eva, where neither view is stronger than the other. The audiences at the end of it are left wondering which view to believe. The two strong views presented to the audience are: she is saint and a accidental political figure who stands for the rights of the people and on the other hand she is presented as a devil by CHE. One wonders was she a special talented lady who believed in struggling for the deprivations and rejections of her childhood, since she has the opportunity to change them now?
