Like in any discipline, photography has experienced tremendous pressure for change from traditional films to the digital technology of social media and the adoption of smartphones. Ideally, smartphones are used to taking pictures, editing and instantly sharing them on social apps. However, unlike the past, the invention of smartphones has fundamentally transformed photography from films that took time and demanded a professional to instant shots and sharing quality pictures on the social media medium, which have increased a wider perspective and engagement of the pictures. As a result, smartphones have changed the way we use, view and share photography.
