The freedom found in artistry, therefore, renders it difficult to understand the intention behind their creation since it becomes challenging to understand the context which made them come up with the artifacts. However, when one compares the life of an artist or the context in which his/her work becomes a reality, it becomes less challenging to understand the factors which evoked their creativity. On the one hand, the painting dubbed “Two Fridas (1939)" by Frida Kahlo demonstrates one person's different experiences. Coherently, there is a sense in which she compares herself from one instance to another. The fact that the title of the artifact includes the name Frida indicates that the associated creativity stems from personal experience. On the other hand, the sculpture titled “Subtlety” by Kara Walker illustrates an image of an African American woman, with sugar being its main constituency. Coherently, the lack of Kara's image indicates that the issue portrayed stems from the intention of moving the masses towards a given action/perception. It suffices to say, therefore, that the artifacts dubbed "Two Fridas” and “Subtlety” employ symbolism to allude to the suffering of women in the contexts of marriage and the slavery system, respectively. A visual evaluation of the work by Frida, “Two Fridas,” hints that she is comparing her life in marriage and after divorce. The fact that she includes her name as part of the title triggers the audience to investigate his biography to understand what the image is about comprehensively. From a brief evaluation of her life, it becomes clear that she felt by her husband, who betrayed her to the extent of causing significant emotional distress. According to Hernandez, "The sorrow and regret Kahlo experienced while married had been expressed in her artistic productions. The emotional roller-coaster of her marriage and her final break with Rivera and her divorce drove Kahlo to a crisis and the forming of two identities." The sentiment informs the reason for Kahlo to include an image of a woman with a punctured artery, oozing blood, was to demonstrate the emotional hurt she experienced. The artery directly connects to the heart, which is a symbol of love to mean that she was hurt because of loving. Coherently, it becomes clear that the visualization of the heart and the arteries, despite the character having clothes, is crucial in registering the idea of emotional pain. The visualization also creates a sense that the blood continues to flow, which is an important strategy to showcase that the pain is undying.
