The Arrival of a Train by brothers Auguste Lumière and Louis Lumière was filmed in 1895 in France. The short film themes several individuals in a line waiting to board an approaching train. However, when the train stops, the straight line is also dissolved. The film runs for fifty seconds with no sound. The pictures are in black and white. According to Arnold (2020), the film is one continuous shot of passengers boarding and disembarking from the train. The Camera help most stably and steadily. Despite its simplicity, this is one of the first films to depict angled camera shots and close-up shots. The Lumière brothers involved images in motion and a cinematic way of storytelling.
