You plan to open a small business and want to establish an AIS to help you in day-to-day operations.
Instructions

Describe the business you want to open, the types of products you will sell, operational activities, and whether you will operate a traditional store or online.
Describe two accounting software selection options that would help promote the success of your operations.
Explain your rationale.
Analyze at least two areas in which new IT and AIS would help you achieve your business goals (such as sales, costs, efficiency, audit, turnover, and so on).

Every business has an accounting function. Like most functions in a business, the proliferation of new technologies is quickly transforming the accounting function with automation of manual processes vastly improving accuracy and ensuring timely reporting. The proposed venture is rather adventurous – it involves an artificial intelligence (AI) creator box for the Gen Z creators for use in their viral content. This small business will require an ideal accounting information system (AIS). In this paper, the purpose is to help find and explain the best AIS options that fit a small business of this nature.
The Business
VibeCraft is an AI creator box designed for use by Gen Z content creators. The core business of this venture is to sell subscription to viral content creators to access an AI toolkit for generating, editing, and posting viral content, specifically video content. However, the toolkit will be expanded to offer services such as voice-overs for audio content, meaning creators do not have to use their voices. As trendy as it sounds, this venture is not a disruptive technology, given that the market is already flooding with AI toolkits for content creators. However, most of these toolkits are generative AI toolkits trained to write content based on user prompts. VibeCraft offers much more to the clients – they may edit videos they shoot or generate videos, they may create cartoon content with voiceovers, they can generate audio content or generate audios for their own narratives, and much more.
The subscriptions will be pocket-friendly and structured in different strata based on the package. For example, basic packages can cost as low as $15 per project, while the most advanced package can cost as much as $55 per project. Other plans may include monthly, quarterly, or annual subscriptions with a fair use policy (FUB) that limits the number of projects. When users reach the FUP limit, they can purchase booster packages, for example, pay a certain amount to unlock a specified number of projects. The main idea is that users get pocket-friendly AI toolkits for their viral content.
The main operational activities include managing the subscriptions and maintaining the AI toolkits. Given the nature of current AI landscape, especially with regards to commercializing AI tools, VibeCraft will create and maintain its own tools, which will be continuously updated to match market dynamics and user demand. Therefore, there will be a technical side of the business and a financial side of it, the latter dealing with functions such as accounts receivables and accounts payables. Other noteworthy operations include marketing, customer relationship management, risk management, and legal.
