The “Jesus stuff” subverts the way of the Old Testament prophecy, which reflects on the revolutionary interpretations of Isaiah, which are the central subject of Ellen Davis’ study and the other discourses in class. It was enlightening, albeit it was hard to incorporate these perspectives in the New Testament while still trying to relate to the Old Testament prophecies.
