The development of these choices included ethical theories like utilitarianism and reciprocity. An example can be given in which vaccinating/curing healthcare workers was explained through the instrumentality of their being vital to saving lives and minimizing damage. As per the agreement between patients and caregivers, it was essential to maintain a healthy workforce to respond to a crisis. However, other players were not okay with giving priority to those in need to secure them life-saving treatments like ventilators.
