Privacy Matters
Privacy matters a lot to me. Privacy is indispensable in preventing the government from arbitrarily spying on me. Privacy enables me to make criminals accountable for stealing data (Shiffman & Ravi, 2013). Also, privacy guarantees my financial safety. Privacy is indispensable for me to run everyday life.
Internet security guarantees me privacy. Privacy prevents governments from spying on me (Ostergaard, 2004). Therefore, privacy allows me to freely engage in politics besides freely exercising freedom of speech, expression, and thought. Privacy makes me be in control of my data and finances. Also, privacy enables me to limit social boundaries (Greenwald, 2014). Some people could use social engagements to justify gaining access to my data for dubious motives.
Privacy is also essential in enabling me to trust organizations. When organizations secure my data, I trust the organization hence engagements in business and other issues are seamless. Also, privacy protects my reputation, which could otherwise be at stake (Greenwald, 2014). It is oft...
