She lives in Queens and works as a home health aide. Miranda was born in New York, but her parents immigrated from Guatemala. She is experiencing relationship issues with her husband, Jose, and financial problems. Her husband, Jose, wants to return to Mexico, where he was born, as he cannot find consistent work. This is causing conflicts with the children. Their daughter, Maria, has become rebellious, and Jose is becoming increasingly violent towards Miranda and Maria. Answer the following questions (2-3 paragraphs): 1. What questions would you include in your initial assessment with Miranda? What would you need to know as a counselor? 2.
