The brown-eyed and blue-eyed experiment by Ms. Jane Elliot (Peters, 1985) is probably the ideal way of instilling a culture of nondiscrimination. Contemporary society characterized by people from different races, religions, ethnicity, and are expected to exist harmoniously with one another. Discrimination has become cancerous to society, and Ms. Elliot's approach is probably the cure if adopted and incorporated into the curriculum. The kids did not only learn the downsides of being discriminated against but also learned that violence that emanates from the rage as a result of discrimination does not help. From their testimonies, Ms. Elliot’s students seemed to have learned an everlasting lesson from the experiment and nothing but a positive attitude towards people with varying complexion.
