First, I appreciate the question you pose at the start of your post. I think these are important aspects that must be made clearer before proceeding with the proposal. Indeed, the proposal does not state whether the 2 percent increase is for one individual or per married couple. The effects of the increase on the well-being of families are disastrous. $80000 is little income for couples, and it would be unfair for them to be taxed with a 2 percent increase. It is also a great proposal if the target is individuals, not married couples. I agree that many people across the board would experience the benefits.
