Only a few individuals have been known to share in the plight of other human beings and done something to make the lives of other people better. The selected personalities have gone down in history as being the champions of change through the selfless commitment to their noble course despite the negative repercussions of their actions. The examples set by the likes of the late Nelson Mandela remind the rest of the universe of what lies deep within the heart of everyone and that the capacity to do good is never fully explored. Tom Shadyac finds out what drove these people into committing the acts of compassion to humanity and changing the world’s perception on certain matters that would otherwise have been destructive to the people.
A single individual can bring a whole lot of change within the society and bring the desired change that will bring peaceful coexistence across all the social, economic, and political structures in a community. “I AM”, a documentary video by Tom Shadyac tries to find answers about the world’s current status and what can be done to make it better. It is an insightful documentary that explores the power of human beings in themselves as an individual and collectively as a single unit working towards a particular noble course. Tom Shadyac believes that in each every human being lies immense capability to love one another and need to collaborate that is naturally instilled in the genes.
