Wallace's (1993) critique of postmodern irony has seeped into all channels, which is what TV finds irony in TV. Although most fiction writers about TV expose its superficiality, instead of that, they mimic ironic detachment, which stops in the air. Wallace writes of irony as well as becoming passive consumption. This is because irony is the most potent force of media. Otherwise, sincerity is unable to be maintained. Sarcasm is in vogue today, which is doubly rare emotionally.
