By linking smoking with the emancipation of women, these companies have employed tactics utilized in the US during the early 20th century (Alexander et al., 2020). As a result, women in developing countries grow to associate smoking with emancipation, leading them to engage in the practice and consequently suffer its effects. Second, the governments in these countries are not well-informed about how harmful tobacco smoking can be to women and children (Alexander et al., 2020). Instead, the governments associate tobacco smoking with men, neglecting important populations in women and children. For these reasons, women in developing countries are exposed to the harmful consequences of tobacco use. Question 2 Key categories of illicit drugs are amphetamines and inhalants. Amphetamines are stimulants manufactured in pill forms, which may be ground and sniffed (Alexander et al., 2020). While some forms of the drug category are used in the treatment of ADHD, its abuse can put undue stress on one’s cardiovascular system, consequently worsening cardiovascular issues that may be present. An example of an amphetamine is methamphetamine (meth). On the other hand, chemicals that produce psychoactive vapors are known as inhalants (Alexander et al., 2020). Inhalants are particularly common among teenagers and adolescents because the chemicals can be obtained easily. Inhalants can have harmful consequences such as kidney failure, brain damage, and memory loss (Alexander et al., 2020). Common examples include petroleum products, spray paints, computer keyboard cleaners, and felt-tip pens. Question 3 Women face significant risks of being raped during a date. In this sense, it is important to take practical measures that can reduce this risk. The first is considering going for the first date in a group setting. In such a setting, one can get to know their date in a safe environment and thereafter decide whether they would like to go on another date with them. Secondly, one should avoid isolated and remote spots, where it can be difficult to get help. Such a place can increase the risk of the partner engaging in physical and sexual agression.
