Organizational theories emerged after the emergence of the first organizations across the globe. The discussion below will assess the classical and modern influences on organizational theories and the application of one of the methods in nursing leadership.
The classical theorists, such as Henri Fayol, Francis Taylor, and Max Weber began by providing a basis for further discussion and research. Since organizations were small and with less inner systems, their approach and analysis were simple and straight to the point. The classics of organizational theories also focused on organizations as static structures (Arrata, Despierre, & Kumra, 2007).
