Training Summary and Focus
The training session will focus on the relationship between Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies with healthcare organizations. More specifically, the training will teach the students on the methods that Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance reimburse hospitals for their services.
Firstly, the training plan will define the two government programs and outline some of the private insurance services in the United States. Additionally, the project will differentiate between Medicare and Medicaid and private insurance programs. Also, it will offer insight on the specific costs that the three cover as a way of reimbursing the healthcare organization.
Specific Learning Target(s)/Objectives
(i) By the end of this training, the students will be able to distinguish between Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. The difference will be based on the context of the situations in which any of the three are required in the healthcare organization. It will cover the background of each of the services by stating the total amount that Medicare and Medicaid reimbursed healthcare organizations for one year and also private companies.
(ii) By the end of this training, the students will have full knowledge on the specific importance of Medicare, Medicare and private program in covering the costs of healthcare services for services such as inpatient and outpatient administrations, pre-birth care, antibodies for children, family planning administrations and supplies, pediatric and nurse practitioner administrations and research facility X-ray among others (Billioux et al., 2017).
