Scenario 1: You have a student who reads grade-level text fluently but cannot recall or correctly answer questions about the explicit details within the text.



Strategy and Rationale: The teacher can incorporate graphic organizers. These graphic organizers would help the student visually organize the details, which can help in recalling details from the text (Majid et al., 2023).

Strategy and Rationale: The teacher can also use reciprocal teaching. Using this strategy, the teacher and the student will take turns in the process of answering questions (Neitzel et al., 2022). This process encourages student involvement, which can enhance the student's comprehension.



Strategy and Rationale: The parents may utilize story retelling. They can retell the story to the student, and they can incorporate a brief discussion, which can reinforce comprehension (Neitzel et al., 2022).

Strategy and Rationale: The parents may also chunk the story into shorter parts. In this way, the student will be able to handle the information from the text. A shorter piece will allow the student to recall information better (Neitzel et al., 2022).
