Question 2 Attitudes that have traditionally limited women's participation in sports can be changed through law and education. When a law is formulated to ban discrimination against women, it communicates that women should be respected. An example is Title IX, which gave women the have equal opportunities in sports. Therefore, through law, attitudes about women's participation can be changed. Education can also be significant in changing attitudes towards women. In this sense, education can teach people that the female body, just like the male body, has some advantages. Women's bodies have advantages in balance, flexibility, and stability. If education emphasizes these capabilities of women, it can contribute to changing attitudes about women in sports. Question 3 Youth programs present an opportunity to teach young boys and girls to respect and value the participation of girls in sports.
