The players adopted their coach’s philosophy of defense, which they implemented on the court by being aggressive, pushy, and foul toward opposing teams. Their actions pushed the narrative of them playing dirty, a narrative they happily went along with through the rough play (ESPN Films, 2016). The players also perpetuated the identity by embracing the name in media interviews; for instance, when Isaiah was asked about the name, he responded that he guessed they were Bad Boys. Also, their donning merchandise with a silver and black logo belonging to the Oakland Raiders, a team known for being problematic in football, further cemented their identity. Q.2 ‘Bad Boy’s’ ethical philosophy cannot work in other professional environments as it would violate professional ethics. The view that the use of physical force on others was morally acceptable so long as they won would violate professional standards. At work, mutual respect and protection of people’s personal space are paramount. It would also violate professional ethics of lawfulness.
