People believe that evil comes from within, humans have both good and bad sides, the bad side needs to be kept in check. People at times believe in the rightness of their cause ignoring the moral consequences of their actions (George & Raju, 2015). Lord of Flies illustrates the beliefs in inherent morality, highlighting the story of young boys stranded on an island (George & Raju, 2015). The boys overcome difficulties both natural and difficulties from inherent human nature. The story constructs the idea of the inherent evil of human nature using the main character Jack and Ralph (George & Raju, 2015).
