Introduction
Throughout social history, there has not been an aspect that has had massive impacts on the culture like sports. The impact that sports have had in the human history are immense and speak to the subtle elements that working as team brings about (Alexander, 2016). Ideally, it is not just the teams in the field that are working together (Alexander, 2016). Like most organized activities, sports are associated with team members, sponsors, experts in the various fields of profession such as doctors, architects, managers, financial analysts, social workers, legal experts, business analysts, operational strategists and the fans among so many others. There is always an entire ecosystem of professionals around any given sport. What is important though is the impact such sports have on the society. The American society has had a history in sports, and the impact of the same has been quite significant on the American culture. One sport in particular though, soccer, has not had massive impact on the culture and it would be crucial to create the elemental background for the same. Designing and building a soccer stadium in Miami, Florida Downtown, is going to be a crucial step towards making soccer a popular sport.
The choice of the sport
While the significance of soccer can be taken to be a simple matter of choice and preference, there are some very elemental aspects of the sport that make it a great sport to invest in. the significance around the globe can be attributed to the fact that, it is a sport that attracts different people of varying skills level to come and enjoy the game. Different teams have player lineups that are from different races from different parts of the world (World-guides.com, 2016). This is an ideal platform for creating a global culture that is based on the mutual love for the teamwork and thrill. More than a quarter billion people globally are soccer players and when the fans are enjoined to the list along with all the other experts in the game fraternity, this makes soccer one of the largest sports in the world. Most importantly it has a presence that spreads across the globe. As such, it is crucial to point out that soccer is a popular sport compared to most others on the global scale, an aspect that needs to change in the United States (World-guides.com, 2016). This also point to the massive support that the sport is accorded on a global scale, which can be seen during the world cup competitions or even the English leagues. It is also important to consider that the sport is relatively easy to learn and supports fluidity in the play, which is quite appealing to most people. It is also a sport that relies heavily on the skills and the creativity of the players rather than athleticism and fitness, an aspect that could not be said in the same breath as one of the most popular sport in America, Basketball, which significantly relies on height. Compared to other sports such as the American football, soccer does not have much life threatening injuries. It is also a sport that attracts international competitions and as such will have a far reaching social, cultural and economic effect.
City of Choice
For this case the city of choice is Miami in Florida downtown. This is a city that has a history with quite a number of sports. The city is accustomed to sports such as tennis as organized under the Sony Ericsson phone company, golf under Ford, the Grand Prix, American football, baseball, basketball and NASCAR among others. Soccer is a sport that is not quite common in Miami and would gain much popularity with the establishment of the soccer stadium (Downtownmiami.com, 2016). Compared to sports such as the American football, soccer in Miami is rare and does not have as much support as most of the other sports in the city. Much of the city traditions are bound close to the American football with league championships such as the super bowl and the national football league simply referred to as the NFL. The only major soccer stadium in the city that has hosted some significant matches is the Miami MLS Stadium. However in the recent past the stadium has seen some significant drop in the number of people attending the matches compared to the rest of the sports. Having another stadium and marketing the sport will have some significant improvements in the acceptability of the sport and helping with getting fans rallying behind the sport. Developing another stadium in the city at the moment is going to gain much needed traction from the fact that there is also a proposed stadium expansion at the MLS by the Miami Beckham United (Downtownmiami.com, 2016).
Exact location choice
Downtown Miami is a location that easily fits in with the football culture that the proposed stadium hopes to achieve. It is a location close to the residential areas vicinity, but not too close to cause any form of pollution. This is bound to attract the attention of the residents in the area and get some following on the sport. Residents will find it much convenient to visit the stadium due to the proximity. There are also factors to consider such as the fact that the area is the financial, cultural and commercial center in the city. The city is one of the fastest growing tracing its roots to the 80s. The proximity to the interstate also means that the area is open to expansion, and also provides a highly lucrative location. For fans from other state, it will be quite easy for them to attend the sports’ events. With a history of being the heart of Miami, downtown play a crucial role in the marketing of the stadium. The location thus plays right into the developments associated with the stadium. One other aspect to consider is the fact that, the area has supportive services such as the hotels, resorts, banks and residents, which are crucial to the establishment of the facility. These are services that are quite established in the area and thus makes Miami one of the most fitting location for the development of such a magnitude.

Architectural Features of the Stadium
One of the most crucial elements to note is that the stadium is not just going to be limited to the soccer matches that will be taking place at the venue, rather the stadium will also serve as a cultural center, where the society can use the event for social events, such as concerts among others. The stadium will assume the shape of an oval bowl (Architecture.com, 2016)....
