The hormones are vital for women's puberty and control their menstrual cycle. In addition, estrogen is essential for men's reproductive system. However, some medicines people use for mood enhancement result in low sex drive. Surprisingly, estrogen helps produce certain substances, such as dopamine, that bring desire and attraction in individuals. Enjoyable conditions boost dopamine release, arousing an individual to pursue more sex (Yoest et al., 2019). Therefore, estrogens are vital in developing people's reproduction and sex life.
