What did it mean for U.S. and USSR during the Cold war?
The U.S during the cold war means the United States. On the other hand, USSR meant United Soviet Socialist Republics. After the second world war, these two emerged as the two-world superpower, each claiming to control world activities such as politics and economy. The U.S supported capitalist economic ideology while USSR adopted the communist mode of production. The two emerged unipolar competed in spreading the economic ideas and searching for supporters globally. Due to the ideology's rivalry, there was the outbreak of the Cold War, which lasted forty-two years from 1949 to 1991 (Richard, 2018).
Is the space program still relevant?
The space program is still relevant because if we look at what is happening in the current world economy, it depicts the countries are trying to dominate the world's economy by establishing more trading partnerships. For example, China is the upcoming global economic controller by having over 1200 countries trading partners. The Chinese economic strengths lie in technology in construction and fish trading (Hilborne, 2020). China has also invested heavily in military training tactics that facilitate security for Chinese trading activities nationally and internationally.
Is it worth the cost, by considering the growing debts?
The growing debt among nations in the space race program is a barrier for world-emerging economic controllers. Despite the increasing debts, the space race program cost is worthy because the new space countries can still manipulate other commercial strategies and continue with their economic space programs (Weinzieri, 2018). For example, companies can set a high profile in entrepreneurship by identifying world market gaps and thrive well. The world economic controllers can still formulate decentralization channels to address these debt problems among their partners.
