The purpose of this randomized trial study was to investigate the therapeutic benefits of losartan in the treatment of marfan syndrome.
Inclusion criteria included patients with Marfan syndrome (MFS), a disorder that impacts connective tissues which can lead to early aortic dissection and death. Exclusion criteria included participants who were on an ARB or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors. The study consists of 233 adult patients over the age of 18-65 who met the inclusion criteria, were recruited and enrolled in the 3-3.5 yearlong study.
