The recruitment tool is a specially designed social media page with visual and verbal information to attract Indigenous youth from the Six Nations community in Toronto. The page mainly uses colourful photos of cultural activities, customs, and celebrations and aims to reflect the spirit of Indigenous youths. Real-life examples of success stories from community leaders and younger people who look up to them explain the program's advantages in acquiring vocational experience, embracing cultural identity, and establishing rapport with like-minded people. This social media strategy is advantageous because it targets the Indigenous youth in the areas where they spend most of their time which is online.
