1. 1.       Principles of Government

a)       Majority Rule – majority rule is the principle followed in any democratic government that whenever the power of decision making is vested in many people, the final answer must come from those who are greater in number. One good example of this would be the process of passing bills in the legislature. b)      Executive Power – Executive power is the power vested upon the ruler or highest official of the land, to execute and enforce the law. However, in cases where a government follows the principle of the separation of power, this power would mostly be relegated to administrative ones. c)       Legislative Power – legislative power is the power to craft the laws, rules, and regulations that must be followed by their respective constituents. While legislative power could reside to anyone or any organization that is defined by the constitution, in a democratic government, this is usually vested to the congress. d)      Short answer:  A The American government is considered an oligarchy because its government is administrated by a small group of people. Nonetheless, it is still democratic since the people who runs it are voted by the government, which gives life to the principle of popular sovereignty.
