Good morning, everyone. We appreciate this chance to share our objectives to enhance youth's lives in regional areas through social innovation, co-working, and entrepreneurial space. I warmly welcome you, and I am here to present an intervention area worse off in our regional communities – youth unemployment.
Our mission is clear: to produce a location that enables the youthful population to acquire relevant skills, find employment, and access financing so that they can develop sustainable businesses for self-employment instead of moving to seek urban livelihoods. Today, I stand before you to ask for $180,000 in seed capital to turn this vision into reality, and I will outline more on how we plan on using that capital, the change we expect to make, and the value we aim to create for our investors.
First, let me describe the fundamental issue we, as a team, are about to address. Firstly, the regional youth unemployment rate continues to be a challenge. There are few employment opportunities locally, few opportunities to gain new skills, and little support for business ventures; thus, many youths migrate to large cities, effectively taking their talent with them and plunging these regions into a cycle of stagnation. Our belief is simple—sadly, young people should be able to decide whether they want to work and build a career or leave their hometowns. The problem we face can be solved sustainably by creating a hub that would include co-working office space, vocational training, and a business incubator.
This project isn't about creating jobs when the end goal is to create healthy, robust communities. This co-working and entrepreneurial hub will provide young individuals with attributes that allow them to find work in the local economy or start their businesses. For example, competence development activities will be provided for regions with contextual specifics to be launched in the trades, technology, and arts fields.
Also, where young men and women want to be entrepreneurs, we will develop a mentorship program, support them with resources, and, at times, even provide a little seed capital to help these young brains transform brilliant ideas into business. With this support, these young people will have all they need to go out there and create sustainable careers right from where they are, thus promoting the healthy sustainability of their communities.
Furthermore, we add strategic advantage to our holistic delivery model; at present, most youth employment initiatives are designed to address only supply, in the form of job referrals or online training; they need to have the regional support and involvement needed for sustainable change. The distinct feature of our hub is that it will provide a complete list of services, starting from vocational training, including co-working, business development, and incubation, down to mentoring under one roof, targeting the local talent, and contributing to the regional economy.
Now, let us consider the market opportunities. The most relevant audience for our concept is the young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who live in rural areas. This group actively seeks opportunities but is constrained...
