Honored guests, distinguished colleagues, and comrades in the pursuit of knowledge, it is with great ethical significance that I stand before you today to discuss the moral ramifications of Buddhists engaging in combat. In the following talk, we will examine these ideas through the prism of Buddhist teachings as we traverse the domains of soldier monks, the complex process of militarization, and the public display of violence. As we examine these facets, it becomes clear that the relationship between Buddhism and war necessitates our group's thought and contemplation.
